Por Panama is a philanthropic organization focused on building a dirt road and simple bridges to provide basic transportation via 4x4 and horses to 10,000 residents of Costa Abajo in Colón. Currently, their only way to access civilization to sell their produce and access medical care is boat transport along the Caribbean coast. This organization provides fundraising and organizational support to the grassroots effort being made by the 7 core fishing villages and innumerable subsistence farms in the area.

This highway is the solution that our brothers and sisters on the Costa Abajo de Colón have been waiting for years. And it is time for their voices to be heard and heeded.
This 33 km highway, a route that shortens distances and opens new horizons. But this goes beyond upgrades and bridges; it represents the realization of postponed dreams, the response to a cry that has resounded in the mountains and the beaches of this wonderful Caribbean region of the country.
