This institute of hospitality education is the first in Thane district , Miraroad Bhayander and Palghar district of Maharashtra, India. Its affiliated and approved by Maharashtra state , Mumbai University and Vocational education board now called skill development board. Mumbai institute is also recognised training center under VTP, Director General of employment and training (DGE&T in Ministry of Labour and Employment. Mumbai college is authorised training center for skill development under National skill development council , India.
Affiliated to Mumbai University , this institute runs under graduate educational program of 3 years leading to degree namely B.Sc. in hospitality studies. Under MSVEEB , the following post SSC and post 12th courses are run : certificate course in Cookery, certificate course in housekeeping, certificate in food and beverage, certificate in bar tending Certificate course in bakery and confectionery and Diploma in hotel operation, and certificate in hotel management and catering technology. The founder and director Dr Dilipkumar Mahadik is a past student and lectures of Ruia college of arts and science , Matunga , MUmbai . He is environmentalist with PhD in environmental science. Dr Mahadik held position of Principal and or director at Rizvi college, A E Kalsekar college, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar college, Holy Maria college of hospitality and computer technology Universal college and NSS college. The hotel management student graduated from Mumbai college have been placed in five star hotels across India and many are abroad or on cruise line. Some students have become owner of hotels and restaurants around the world.
