Weirs of Baggot St

We’d like to introduce our shop, Weirs of Baggot Street, a 100% Irish-owned family-run hardware and gift store. As a family we have been running the business for over 40 years carrying on the hardware heritage from the original founder William Weir who first opened the doors in 1886. We have in the past navigated as a family through challenging times, always priding ourselves on offering the very best quality products and customer service.
We believe the heart of our business is the people within our community. Whether they are searching for the perfect gift, wanting to improve their home or getting keys cut for their new apartment, we are a part of their story. Through the many phases of lockdown in Dublin we have become increasingly aware of the importance of reaching out and connecting with people, particularly those who have been suffering from loneliness, isolation and boredom.

We’ve also recognised how essential it is for people to have some kind of creative project to keep them going. We are Ireland’s largest stockist of Frenchic Paint and every day we receive an overwhelming amount of feedback from our customers expressing how thankful they are to have a project to keep them sane during these times. With every day holding an unprecedented level of uncertainty people are looking for something to keep them grounded.

Through providing materials for home projects, giving expert advice and most importantly spending time having a much needed chat we have had the opportunity to serve our community in a time of need.
We would love to have the opportunity to be featured on the Late Late Show to showcase how, despite this difficult time, we are still able to remain positive and continue to provide people with all their home, gift and hardware needs, both instore and online.
