Google Updates

Google’s 2026 core and spam updates, tracked with diib data. Google announces when an update starts and finishes, but not what it did to real businesses. We measure that: how many websites saw their Google search visits drop after each update, which industries were hit hardest, and how many recovered six weeks later. To separate a real search drop from a tracking problem or an outage, we only count sites whose search visits fell while their direct visits held steady.
