Woodsman Jewelry

Since 2004, Woodsman Jewelry has crafted thousands of wedding rings for couples all over the world. What started with the original Hawaiian Koa Wood inlaid titanium wedding bands under the brand name of Komo Koa Jewelry, has expanded globally in to the brands of Sequoia – California Redwood Jewelry, Komo Kauri Jewellery – Ancient Kauri wood from New Zealand and Tyalla – Australian native timber jewellery, with new lines developing for new regions.

Woodsman Jewelry’s primary focus is creating awareness and raising funds for environmental initiatives of the region from which the native woods originate. From educational programs for primary school students to tree planting initiatives and habitat restoration, every sale benefits environmental non-profits through Woodsman Jewelry’s partnership with One Percent for the Planet.

Originally from Oregon, founder Ché Garcia moved to the Big Island of Hawaii in 2003 and found work as a carpenter. Within weeks he fell in love with the islands, its native woods and a woman who would later become his wife. It was these three events that inspired the creation of a Hawaiian Koa wood inlaid wedding ring. Being an avid waterman, Ché spent a lot of time in the ocean and wanted a unique ring that was not only stylish, comfortable, waterproof and durable but also represented his new home of Hawaii, love for woodwork and his Hawaiian born wife. At the time, a durable wood inlaid ring designed for daily wear as a wedding ring did not exist. Determined to create such ring, Ché utilized his woodworking skills to develop the rings and accessories Woodsman Jewelry offers today.

After many years of business supporting environmental charities in Hawaii and California, Ché recognized the potential for his products to help protect native forests everywhere. So, in 2019, Ché moved his family to South Australia to pursue these opportunities and develop a business model to increase awareness and raise funds for native forest initiatives across the globe.

Every purchase has a purpose. Woodsman Jewelry connects people with place and provides an opportunity to help protect those places for future generations.
