Wattle Supplements was a natural outcome of Cogumelo Farm, a mushroom farm Denys/Mark Patrick set up two years ago in Victoria out of their passion for mushrooms.
Denys always loved mushrooms – since his childhood when he became obsessed with a mushroom doll house, during his school years when he loved biology and his adulthood when he would never miss an opportunity to cook with different types of mushrooms.
Mark also has a big interest in mushrooms and, more importantly, loved his grandmother who played a big role in his up bring but, sadly, suffered from dementia for years before passing.
The struggle of Mark’s mother and the ghost of hereditary dementia that looms over his family made Mark stumble across studies involving Lion’s Mane mushrooms and their potential to help regenerate neurones.
It was just a matter of time until these two thoughts converged and Wattle Supplements was born.
We produce high quality, 100% artisanal Australian grown mushrooms that are used in our Australian made dietary supplements. We also source high quality / imported certified organic powder extracts as we couldn’t find an extraction facility in Australia to produce them with our mushrooms.
We pride ourselves on being an ethical supplements company by being transparent:
– Never playing the role of medical practitioners or misleading people saying mushroom supplements can be used as therapies by themselves – We always enforce that science / medicine should always come first despite of what their goal is by using mushrooms.
– Never mixing up things (fillers) that are not relevant to the product so people know exactly what they are getting. As such, we have water extracts separated from ethanol extracts for our powder versions. We are launching very soon a lion’s mane mycelium powder also separated from the lion’s mane fruiting body so people know exactly how much they are getting and paying for a fair price for each product.
