Utah Swim Academy

Utah Swim Academy is the premier destination for youth survival swimming lessons in Northern Utah. Founded in 2005 by owner JoD Jones, Utah Swim Academy has been instructing children as young as six-months-old, as well toddlers, adolescents and adults the life-saving skills they need in aquatic emergency situations.

Once aquatic safety has been established, Utah Swim Academy also specializes in beginner-to-intermediate swim lessons as well as early stroke work to develop students for swim teams and advanced lessons.

Upon arrival to Utah in 2002, owner and founder JoD Jones saw an urgent need in Utah County as there were so many young families with infants and toddlers, but with no one offering lessons specifically for them. With decades of knowledge and training in swimming and aquatic safety, JoD decided to create a program specifically tailored for anyone to learn these valuable swim & safety skills.

After three years (2002-2005) of performing her own private swim lessons, the company was initially opened at the first location in Pleasant Grove, UT as O’Neal Aquatics. In 2018 JoD moved the business to Provo, UT where Utah Swim Academy was officially founded.

From one instructor in 2005 to over 25 instructors today, we have built a detailed and thorough training program that has allowed us to build a highly qualified team of instructors that are able to teach these valuable and lifesaving skills year-round. With online courses now available, we can teach people around the world our aquatic safety program.

Our business model allows for clients to schedule their lessons on their own time and with the instructor of their choice. Clients can also purchase as many lessons as they wish and schedule them within an allotted amount of time designated by the number of lessons (typically anywhere from three to six months or up to 12 months for some promotions).

Our administrative team is available throughout the day to answer questions and aid with customer service inquiries via email, our designated business phone and social media pages (Facebook, WhatsApp, Marco Polo, etc.).

We have also begun a new customer liaison program for new clients. A designated administrative member will work with new clients step by step to show them how to create a profile for our website, purchase lessons and schedule them with one or more of our instructors.
