T•L is a brand that thinks “Outside of the Beauty Box”. Our formulations and custom packaging fall into their own niche within this very crowded personal care space. Our signature essential oil blend, House Blend, has customers swooning at first whiff. The quality and efficacy of the products have them coming back for more. Our products are all-natural and handcrafted locally. We have a variety of products to pamper yourself from head to toe, from Cleansing Hair Conditioner to Cuticle Oil and we are proud to say that all of our products sell very well.
Our Liquid Castile formula is very unique and simply couldn’t be put into just any bottle. Using real olive oil bottles was simply the only choice. For this, we needed to create custom lotion pumps. This adds a barrier to entry and now our Liquid Castile and Hand & Body Cream are the only personal care products in the world available in real olive oil bottles.
Strictly formulating my soap with expensive ingredients like olive oil and essential oils automatically puts the brand into the luxury category. This meant the bar packaging also needed to reflect those qualities. My matchbox style soap box conveys luxury while the raw chipboard reflects the natural quality of the soap inside it. I also wanted the matchbox style to encourage repurposing.
House Blend is T•L’s signature essential oil blend. I have the audacity to compare it to The Kernels Secret Recipe because it is that good. This unisex scent is what makes our Restaurant Marketing (GORT) such a success. It is “remarkable” in the true sense of the word with restaurant patrons returning to their table and talking about it to their fellow diners.
Formulations – My soap formulations set the tone for the rest of the products and that tone is “less is more”. I challenge myself to create effective products using as few ingredients as possible. The rare times I look at my competition I see a lot of sameness or trends being followed.
