He is creative and energetic but can also be a procrastinator and a bit perfectionist. He has a AS in film and video and a bachelor’s in Human Service with an emphasis on Addiction counseling.
Derrick is the founder and sole owner of Therapeutic Creationz, LLC (TC) TC was legally formed in OCT 2021 with the hopes of sharing the therapeutic value of arts and crafts to cope with symptoms of PTSD. His PTSD is attributed to his short time in the military and Desert Storm. TC was created after a stay in a Milwaukee Veterans treatment center where he was introduced to Art Therapy.
Art Therapy paved the way for Therapeutic Creationz, LLC which has helped him face the pitfalls of addiction. Derrick credits his “Rock Bottom” and his stay at The Milwaukee Veterans DOM Program and their curriculum and mainly his faith in Christ to his freedom from the snares of addiction but understands that God has placed him in a position to minister to others around him and he has found it in Therapeutic Creationz, LLC.
