The Flooring Centre offers free residential flooring advice in Christchurch and Commercial flooring in Auckland.

Residential

Our consultants will help you to coordinate your flooring with other aspects of your home and provide free detailed quotes. Quotes will show detail down to the positioning of where any proposed seams or joins in your new carpet will be placed – because we are all about getting the detail right.

As an active member of the national flooring body, Floor NZ, our staff and installation team are very familiar with New Zealand industry standards. We guarantee that all workmanship will meet or exceed all New Zealand Standards and best trade practice, to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Commercial

Our commercial team are flooring experts who have extensive experience in installation, measuring, product selection, technical advice, pricing and project management. We have teams in both Auckland and Christchurch who service Commercial flooring projects across New Zealand.

Our Commercial Sales team are 100% dedicated to commercial projects and are backed by an experienced and professional team of Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and our 30 plus on staff Floor Preparation and Installation teams. We also have great relationships with flooring contractors, who we use on a when required basis.

All commercial projects are carefully planned to ensure that all aspects run smoothly, from health and safety planning to execution and quality assurance inspections on completion. Our aim is to get every project finished on budget and on time, every time.

The Flooring Centre | History

Realising a gap in the market, Steve Musson and Val Scobie developed a business that provides the whole package – Carpet, Vinyl, Timber, Laminate, Hybrid and Tiles for Residential, Group Builder and Commercial projects. The Flooring Centre has grown to become New Zealand’s largest independent floor covering retailer, employing over 60 staff across two locations that service the North and South Island.

We are here to complete small through to large projects for our customers and give you peace of mind by fully guaranteeing all residential installations. We are different because we employ over 30 installers and train them our way to get the very best results alongside using our pool of skilled sub-contractors when required.
