Main Services
Straight Street Event Services is a leading Southern Ontario audiovisual production company specializing in professional sound, lighting, staging, video, and integrated AV technology for live events. For more than four decades, organizations across Waterloo Region, Cambridge, Kitchener, the Greater Toronto Area, and beyond have trusted Straight Street to deliver reliable, high-quality audiovisual production that ensures their events look professional, sound exceptional, and run smoothly from start to finish. At its core, Straight Street is an audiovisual production company. While many event providers focus on logistics or event coordination, our expertise lies in the technical side of live events — the sound systems, lighting design, staging, and audiovisual production that shape how audiences experience a presentation, conference, performance, or celebration. From corporate meetings and conferences to concerts, festivals, galas, and community events, our experienced technicians and production specialists ensure every technical element works together seamlessly. Successful events depend on more than just equipment. They require technical expertise, thoughtful design, and experienced professionals who understand how sound, lighting, staging, and video systems interact in real-world environments. Straight Street’s team brings decades of hands-on production experience, combining professional-grade equipment with skilled technicians who know how to design and execute reliable AV systems for venues of every size. Whether working in theatres, conference centres, outdoor venues, or unconventional event spaces, our team adapts the technical approach to meet the needs of each event. Our audiovisual production services include professional sound reinforcement, stage lighting design and installation, staging systems, video projection, LED displays, presentation support, and full technical production for live events. We support corporate conferences, product launches, awards galas, live music performances, festivals, and community celebrations, providing the sound, lighting, staging, and audiovisual infrastructure required to deliver a polished and engaging event experience. What sets Straight Street apart is a commitment to clarity, reliability, and partnership. We believe audiovisual production should simplify the event process rather than complicate it. Our approach is grounded in open communication, transparent recommendations, and practical technical solutions that serve the goals of the event itself. Clients rely on our team not only for equipment, but for insight — helping them determine what technology will best support their audience, their venue, and their message. Straight Street is proudly Canadian and deeply connected to the Southern Ontario community. Based in Waterloo Region, we regularly support events across Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, and the Greater Toronto Area, while also travelling throughout Ontario to deliver production services wherever they are needed. Over the years we have partnered with businesses, arts organizations, municipalities, event planners, and community groups who value experienced professionals and dependable audiovisual production. Another defining strength of Straight Street is the scale and quality of our production equipment. With a large inventory of professional sound systems, lighting fixtures, staging components, video equipment, and event technology, we are able to support events ranging from small meetings to large-scale productions. Our investment in professional equipment is matched by our investment in skilled technical staff who know how to use that technology effectively and safely. For event planners, this means confidence. When Straight Street is responsible for the audiovisual production, clients know the technical elements of their event are in capable hands. Our team manages the details that audiences may never see — audio clarity, lighting balance, staging stability, signal routing, and system reliability — so presenters, performers, and organizers can focus on the experience they want to deliver. After more than forty years supporting live events, Straight Street Event Services continues to be recognized as one of Southern Ontario’s trusted audiovisual production partners. Our reputation is built on experience, professionalism, and a straightforward approach to delivering high-quality sound, lighting, staging, and AV production for events of every size.
