I offer online training courses to help people who want to be professional PADI Scuba Diving Instructors.
I am a PADI Course Director (Instructor Trainer) and have teaching scuba diving for over 30 years, I have owned my own dive centre, and have managed others in Egypt and in Indonesia.
For the last 20 years, I have studied the psychology of how people learn. I have followed the practices of life coaches so that I can give the very best training to future scuba diving instructors.
I have been awarded with the “Platinum” status more times than anyone else in the UK, and maybe the world.
I guess that my unique selling point is that instead of teaching Instructors how to teach courses, I focus more on how to teach individual learning styles of future customers.
Everything about my training is positive, and I teach my instructor candidates to be positive in their training of others.
I have three Online Courses, that cover all of the preparation that new scuba instructors need.
The first course is focused on Dive Theory, and PADI Standards and procedures.
It covers every subject and every area that a new instructor will need for their Instructor Exams.
The course has several videos, explaining the subjects in a novel way.
People who have studied in the conventional way, using PADI manuals, and listening to PADI instructors still may not fully understand the subjects.
It would therefore be pointless for me to cover the same material in the same way that they have heard before.
The videos make the subjects simple, and are all followed by quizzes to make sure that learners take on board the important information.
There are also several mock exams that are in exactly the same format and have the same content as the exams that are featured on the final PADI Exams.
This course also gives a lot of practice in the understanding of the most current PADI standards and procedures.
Again there are mock exams using the very latest PADI Instructor Manual that are similar in content and format to those on the final PADI exam.
The second course is focused on How to Teach in the Classroom and in Confined Water.
This course concentrates on the psychology of how people learn. It shows Instructors how they can teach people in a fun, interactive and enjoyable way that is hugely effective.
Instructors learn the importance of allowing people to learn, at their own pace, offering positive coaching to correct any problems.
Of equal importance is that the instructor understands the abilities of their students and is careful not to ask the student to perform something that they aren’t able to do.
All in all it’s very different from the usual methods of training scuba diving instructors.
The third course is simply a combination of both Theory and Practical courses. It truly is the Complete PADI IDC Preparation Course.
These courses not only prepare people for the Instructor exams, but are also excellent guides for teaching in the “real world”
