Solent Power Ltd

Based in Hampshire, UK, we specialize in standby generators, UPS and emergency power systems that protect your building from power cuts.

Founded by managing director Paul Phelps in 2020 after spending 17 years as a power generation and distribution electrical engineer, he saw that the industry was not being served honestly and with enough transparency and he set up Solent Power to improve service levels and trust.

One of our key strengths is that we are fully independent and work with a range of generator manufacturers which means we can provide much more flexibility for our customers.
We only supply equipment from leading generator brands that have strong after sales support and parts availability to ensure that our customers have reliable power.

Alongside the new equipment sales and installation, we also provide comprehensive service and maintenance plans to a variety of businesses across the UK such as hotels, hospitals, manufacturers, office blocks and apartment buildings etc

We can take care of the entire power systems such as the switchgear, generators, UPS and controls ensuring that our clients power remains safe, reliable and compliant.

Our team consists of qualified and experienced electrical engineers that advise and support you with tailored solutions that work for your needs, whether you need a new generator installed or you need a maintenance plan for your equipment.

Our aim is to educate and serve, so our customers feel informed and empowered to manage their building power and minimize any disruption caused from power loss.
We achieve this by providing resources such as articles and videos explaining various factors around generators and standby power systems to help the customer understand what equipment they need and how to take care of it.

We truly believe that business should be a force for good, so we continue to look at ways we can be more sustainable in our operations and we actively volunteer in the community and donate to local charities.

As the business grows we aim to invest in apprentices so that we can develop and give opportunities to local youth in Hampshire. There are a lot of opportunities in our sector and as our current workforce ages, we need to replace the experience with fresh talent.
