SME Association of Zimbabwe

Our services are primarily centered on equipping small business owners with the business skills they need in order to grow their business. We also do lobbying and advocacy, whereby we engage government, government agencies and local authorities with a view to getting legislative and policy changes to improve the cost and ease of doing business for small and medium enterprises.

Our membership spans all sectors including agriculture, mining, construction, consulting, services, retail (B2B and B2C), healthcare, hospitality, arts and crafts, and many more. We have a growing number of over 6 000 members (who are small and medium enterprises) registered with us. We also partner with several large corporations (affiliate members) as well as non-governmental organisations who are interested in helping SMEs to grow their businesses.

Notable achievements that we have made include setting up a service to provide tenders in Zimbabwe, setting up training facilities to help businesses right from the start-up wanting to find out which business ideas in Zimbabwe are the most viable, through to programs to expand medium sized enterprises into export markets. We also successfully completed a donor program which involved training over 1 000 youths in employability and entrepreneurship. We are recognised as a leading association in Zimbabwe.
