I worked very briefly for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office, and very briefly for a law firm in Albany NY. It wasn’t for me.
I have owned The Silver Parrot, a very busy Silver store/ Boutique in Albany NY since 1980. Over the years we have developed strong and long term ties with silversmiths and brilliant, high quality jewelry makers worldwide. We import Sterling jewelry directly from high quality shops in Mexico, Bali, and India. We also carry exceptional Handmade Sterling jewelry from Lauri Schutt and other NY silversmiths. On the website are pieces of Navajo and Hopi Sterling earrings and bracelets.. We carry Holly Yashi, Mark Steel, Cape Cod jewelry and lines from other American jewelry companies and silversmiths. There are always pieces that are one of a kind. The result is an amazingly diverse array of carefully curated jewelry. The website is a picture of this.
The website is not a big collection of expensive jewelry. The pricing is as diverse as the collection. There are $18.00 Sterling studs, $240.00 large Sterling bracelets and and everything in between. Our customers are young and old and in between.
We are a bit old school. We know where each piece of jewelry was produced. We weed out low grade makers.
If the term Sterling Silver pieces are always clearly headlined you don’t need to go to the fine print to know the truth.
We have 40 years of customer service in store under our belts. It’s how we grew the business. It is now projected onto the website. This is our mission statement:
