He taught interior architecture at the University of Florence for three years before moving to New York in 2001.
In September 2002, he mounted a one-man show of his furniture designs, including nine built pieces and 100 watercolors, at the Memphis-Postdesign Gallery in Milan, once again under Sottsass’ supervision.
From 2005 until 2008, Sergio ran the U.S. branch of Studio 63, the retail design agency behind the success of Miss Sixty and many other brands.
In 2008, he founded his own architectural branding agency to help brands succeed through design innovation.
With a strong foundation in Italian design and aesthetics, the studio has gained international recognition by completing hundreds of global projects. It is often featured in prestigious magazines, books, and blogs throughout Europe, China, and the United States.
The studio is fueled by a deep passion for creating unique spaces that capture the spirit of our time and reflect the ideas of the society we dream of, combining culture and aesthetics with a contemporary international twist.
While initially focused on retail design, the studio has diversified its portfolio in recent years, engaging in various residential, branding, and furniture design ventures.
Specifically, the studio now designs and produces a series of high-quality, contemporary, and unique furniture.
In addition to these, the studio has designed a collection of hand-made rugs, all hand-drawn by Sergio himself and manufactured in Nepal with natural wool and silk.
Rugs are a niche offering that we want to promote and expand on. We offer full customization to high-end customers and interior designers worldwide.
Sergio regularly contributes to Forbes with retail, branding, and design articles.
