Science Camps of America is a Hawaiʻi-based non-profit organization that hosts its Science Camp for Teens on Hawaiʻi Island. Students ages 13–17 spend each ten-day session exploring the island’s diverse ecosystems while engaging in hands-on activities in geology, biology, marine science, native plants and animals, and much more. At Science Camp, students leave their screens behind and immerse themselves in activities that build deep connections with the land, the ocean, the forests, and the volcanoes of this amazing island. Science Camp is a rare opportunity for students to engage in experiential learning, to explore the natural and cultural history of Hawaiʻi, to meet peers from different places and backgrounds, and to discover more about themselves and the possibilities the future may hold for them.
