Since its inception, Rug Collections is relentlessly working with a wonderful pool of
dedicated craft enthusiasts and artisan clusters towards the development of
traditional crafts. From Jute to seagrass, from terracotta to woodcrafts,
from leather to bamboo, we are working with all forms of crafts in Bengal. It is
only through such commitment have we been able to help the craftspeople and
change their quality of life meaningfully.
Rug Collections combines the tradition of handicrafts to offer luxury products
and services for high-end customers. These products and services include
hand-made home accessories coloured with azo-free dye as well as a natural dye.
The brand has an aim to promote sustainable development using the
labour-intensive nature of this activity to generate increased employment for
rural craft groups and improve their standard of living by assisting artisans
and craftsmen to access wider markets and obtain a fair price for their
products. Continuous innovation is carried out through research and
development on craft and related issues. As well as the promotion of product
development by working alongside artisans and craftspeople and helping to
establish greater recognition of their contributions to culture and society.
