How it is used:

You collect clear water in a cup or water bottle, remove the pen cap, press the On/Off button to activate the ozone cycle, and watch while ozone is dissolved into the water. This takes about :40 seconds.

At the end of the treatment cycle, the water may be used immediately (to clean other things), or you can wait 3 minutes to allow the ozone to treat the water itself. The pen can be used approximately 40 times before the internal battery (included) needs to be re-charged, which is done like a cell phone, via a usb (type C) cord. 5 What’s the ONE benefit that’s most likely to make someone try or buy the product or service?
The fact that is does double duty – not only will it make clean water, it makes water that cleans.

Most people only understand ozone as some layer in the sky with a hole in it. Or, it is an air pollutant that you get warnings about.

While both of those things are true, what most people don’t know, is that if you take ozone and dissolve it into water, you create a sanitizing solution that is far more powerful than chlorine.

So, it is really good at killing things like viruses, bacteria, molds. The neat thing about ozone, is that it is very short-lived.

In fact, as soon as it is produced, its starts reverting back to ordinary oxygen. So it is fast emerging as a very cool, natural, non-chemical, and sustainable way to not only purify water, but that water can itself be used to clean things. Our customers report they use to wash wounds, keep dish sponges clean, wash vegetables, etc.

I think its attractive to people who like high-tech stuff. Its early on, so they see themselves as early-adopters, or just those that prefer premium product at premium price as opposed to budget buyers. Who knew that peoplw would be willing to pay the price for a YETI cooler? Yet they do, because they perform.

We’re a Wisconsin company and we try to source as much as we can from the USA.

We’re obsessed with customer service and will not let allow a bad review.

12. s there are a story associated with this product/service?

The inventor, Yana had always had an outdoors lifestyle. In the past, she was a producer for hunting and fishing shows, and camp cook for an Alaskan grizzly-bear/moose guide. She is currently building an off-grid Wisconsin getaway with her husband Jim. Access to safe drinking water was always an issue for her, and helped fuel her desire to bring her ideas to fruition.

Roving Blue’s first product was the Ozo-Pen, a pocket water purifier that people could use to purify individual glasses of water.
For a second-generation product, Yana wanted a product that could not only purify a larger volume of water, but also carry the water.
However, mass producing such a project faced several hurdles for such a small business.

The first was the cost of plastic molding pieces – close to $150,000. Undeterred, she acquired and learned to operate two high-quality 3D printing machines, and began manufacturing and revising the devices in her home, four at a time, and made changes based on user feedback.
She also wanted to fit a Nalgene water bottle. “I think they said yes so I would go away” she says of her persistence in securing the proprietary thread design of their 1 Liter bottle – a huge favorite in the hiking/backpacking world.

Later, she managed to capture the attention of Wisconsin Corporation, Georgia Pacific, and was one of only five companies chosen out of a field of 300+, to participate in their Innovation program “Studio 1915.” Following the program, Yana convinced GP to invest their engineering talents, and to share their vendors with Roving Blue, so she could begin mass production.
Yana also wanted to produce an American-made product, which also posed challenges. She meticulously sourced components at the most affordable price points possible, from sewing threads made in Georgia for the “pod pockets”, to stickers and labels for the boxes.

Finding a contract manufacturer was also difficult. Most are not interested in a small start-up concern. Despite facing rejections from several facilities, Yana finally found a reliable partner in Gain Control, which does some engineering, assembly and fulfillment for her, to this day, in Pulaski, WI..
In summary, from design, through supply chains, to production, the quest to develop portable water security for anyone at a reasonable price point was not easy. Yana’s resourcefulness, persistence, customer focus, and ability to secure partnerships were instrumental in developing this innovation when others could not.

I purchase traffic from Winterplay, get about 2K visitors a day. They are much cheaper than PPC and Google or Bing. They are not demographically ideal, but its traffic. I am hoping you can do much better.

It’s the first of their kind in the world. We have first mover advantage. We can be a category leader as copycats inevitably come on the scene.
