Riverview Rise Retreats

It’s a cozy haven of secluded luxury set in the rolling hills overlooking the historic town of Mannum, South Australia, close to the banks of the Murray River. It features self-contained, luxurious accommodation for couples in separate villas, generously spaced out in a bush setting for absolute privacy.

Designed by the owner, movie set designer and artist Michael Chorney, the primary motivation was to create a modern, luxurious escape destination for couples only.

The Retreats are self-catering, studio-style bungalows each with fully appointed gourmet kitchen, large spa bath, tailor-made king-size bed, surround sound system and complimentary fast NBN internet. Each Retreat has its own private balcony with BBQ and outdoor furniture setting.

Unusual and rich wall paint textures enhance the visual experience. Total black-out curtains with designer room lighting are yet another feature amongst many.

There are just three architecturally refined villas nestled into our escarpment on the Murray River, providing a truly unique, boutique retreat experience.

Absolute privacy is achieved by the positioning and landscaping of the buildings. It is possible to stay for several days, and never see another human, either through the picture frame windows or on the surrounding grounds.

When not spending time together in their Retreat, guests can venture out into the lush natural bushland surroundings for a walk through the trees or by the river, enjoying the tranquillity of the environment in each others’ company.
