When my father finally sold the business, I changed careers to Information Technology. I spent over 25 years working in that field, many of which were in leadership roles for large enterprises and local government. During that time, I completed a bachelor’s degree in business management and gained tremendous experience in business and project planning. All of my roles, including in my family’s business many years ago, were customer-facing. I know the level of customer service needed for any business.
