With Rheumatoid Arthritis, the body’s immune system mistakenly recognizes healthy tissues in the joints as infiltrators and constantly attacks them. The result is constant inflammation and pain, and potentially irreversible joint damage. If not treated properly, RA can get you in a wheelchair.

One of the medications administered for RA is – Prednisone, or rather “steroids”. This medication weakens the immune system, and, by that, also inflammation and pain. And while it’s a lifesaver, it has horrific side effects, like bone loss, heart and lung damage, and much more, especially when taken long term.

When Ron was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, he could barely walk and was put on steroids, among other medications. While steroids are supposed to be a short-term solution, Ron’s romance with steroids lasted for 23 years. Trying to cut-off steroids, never succeeded, and Ron kept going back on that medication.

That all changed 4 years ago when Ron stumbled upon CBD oil (or rather hemp oil) and began researching how cannabinoids interact with our bodies and how the combination of cannabinoids (not only CBD) forms something that’s called the “entourage effect”. This effect holds some very strong anti-inflammatory qualities.

With so many sellers in the market (many of which sell snake oils) Ron decides to source the highest quality raw materials, and eventually perfected his own formula. Exactly 3 weeks after the first drop, Ron was off the steroids, after 23 years straight. This was a personal WOW moment for Ron, but he also saw an opportunity to help many other patients with Arthritis, autoimmune conditions, and people who are taking Prednisone (roughly 15% of the population altogether). Reclaim Labs was born.

Why the name Reclaim Labs? When Ron was liberated from his 23-year addiction to steroids, he felt that he reclaimed his freedom from the medication and his control over his well-being. It’s now 4 years later, and Ron never looked back – steroids have become a thing of the past.
