What is hydroseeding?
Hydroseeding is a cost-effective and time saving method of seeding your lawn. Hydroseeding is done by combining a mixture of grass seed, fertilizer, mulch, tackifier, and water. This “ Slurry” is mixed together in a 750 gallon tank. As the slurry is sprayed evenly on your lawn, the tackifier will act as a glue, and bond the mixture to your soil. This bond will prevent seeds from being washed away. The mulch, which is shredded straw, paper,wood, will hold in the moisture along with the seeds. This means that any water you put on the lawn will stick around much longer, creating faster growth. As long as the area is watered regularly, grass will start growing in 6-7 days.
