Offeroftheday mixes full retailer product feeds as well as one off deals, allowing people to search and compare prices. The full product integration sets us apart from other single use deals websites as this allows a full picture of the quality of discounts, comparing against a number of other retailers’ offers and RRPs. An example of this would be around Black Friday, where retailers often quote original RRPs, making their discounted pricing look particularly strong where in reality these discounts may be similar if not more expensive than current prices at other retailers.

Despite growth over the years the website has been maintained and updated by no more than 3 members of the Offeroftheday team at a time.

A main difference that sets Offeroftheday apart from similar sites is the fact we check prices on site every 15 minutes, allowing users to catch strong deals almost immediately, compared to websites that update every hour or even every day. This fast update time also allows the removal of out of stock or deals that have ended, to reduce false information and disappointment.

Our main site homepage works on a popularity basis, organically pushing good deals to the top without users or members individually flagging good deals.
We constantly add and expand the retailers we have on site each week, and have managed to reach the point where almost anything you can think to search for will have multiple results.

Users can also benefit from the option to “watch” products. This allows the user to receive email notifications when a particular product is reduced in price. The user can set the threshold for this email, so they can make sure they are only contacted when the product has been reduced to a price of their choosing.

When clicking on a product on site we will also notify the user of any eligible codes, but also if the product they are clicking on is available for a cheaper price from another store.

Offeroftheday compare pages allow easy comparison of pricing including any voucher codes or delivery options that may affect total price. This is useful for retailers that have low pricing but expensive delivery charges, it can be quite difficult to know which offers are worth buying.

We also have an “Ebay Local Deals” function on site, allowing you to search for products on ebay quickly in your local area, particularly for collection. It allows easy filtering by price and distance.

The offer of the day team work in a converted barn in rural Herefordshire. We are focused on reducing our carbon footprint. To this end, our servers are 100% carbon neutral. Our offices use green energy and are heated by a ground source heat pump. All the employees regularly cycle to work.
