My name is David and I’m one of the individuals who choose to cruise through life on a Harley.

I am now 36 years old, and for many years, motorcycles have been an integral part of my life. Ever since the first time I twisted the throttle on one of them and felt the wind blowing in my face, I knew I was meant to be riding a two-wheeler. Prior to obtaining my first Harley-Davidson, I owned motorcycles made by Kawasaki and Yamaha. These bikes served their purpose well, allowing me the opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of motorcycle ownership and riding. The way I see it, it’s all part of the journey I’m on for me to work my way up to owning and proudly riding a Harley-Davidson Sportster. Now that I’m there, I realize that there’s a certain sense of honor and tradition that comes with riding a Harley.

In addition to being a longtime motorcycle rider, I have extensive experience with performing motorcycle maintenance and installing motorcycle accessories. Pride of ownership is important, and regularly maintaining my Sportster keeps it running in tip-top shape.

The legend, mystique, and raw power associated with Harley-Davidsons is unmatched by any other type of vehicle. Unless you’ve actually ridden a Harley yourself, it’s doubtful that you can imagine the exhilaration I feel every time I ride my Sportster.

Harley-Davidson motorcycles are far more than just a form of transportation. Since 1903, Harley-Davidson has been building top-rated machines that represent an entirely different way of life. In the world of motorcycling Harley-Davidson is the undisputed king, and I’m proud to be one of the people who are carrying on the great tradition. The Harley-Davidson Sportster was introduced in 1957, and to this day the model remains popular around the world. As soon as I saw and heard a Sportster for the first time, I knew that someday I would own one because it was just the right bike for me.

Through the years, the Sportster has increased its engine displacement size and has undergone some slight design changes, but the classic bike has always maintained its exciting appearance and deep, powerful sound that’s always thrilling to hear.

When you own a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, almost everything is fun to do. It’s even fun to drive to work or the grocery store on a Harley. You can’t help but notice the looks on car drivers’ faces when you roar up next to them in traffic.

Maybe it’s because they’re so bored with their everyday lives, or perhaps it’s a touch of envy, but people sure do notice when you pull up alongside them on a Harley. Whatever comes my way, I don’t mind, because I know that I can get away from it all on my Sportster.

No matter which direction my life may take, as long as I’m getting there on a Harley-Davidson I’ll be a happy man. Ride to live, live to ride.
