I love weddings as every wedding is different. My aim is to provide my clients with a set of images they will treasure forever.

For each wedding couple, I like to get to know them and try to make them comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. That is why I love my complimentary pre-wedding shoot sessions. It gives me a chance to get to know the client and for the client to understand how I work. This can take place in almost any location the happy couple want. On a walk, in a park or even where they got engaged.; somewhere special to them! After each pre wedding shoot, I produce a large framed print that guest can sign on the wedding day. A truly special, unique wedding gift to the couple.

I love to capture the emotion of each wedding day: the excitement, laughter and tears of joy, the pride and smile on a parent’s face as they see their daughter for the first time in her wedding dress. Above all I will capture the love between the bride and groom and the new husband/wife as they begin their married life together.

As a documentary wedding photographer, I focus on telling the story of the wedding as it happens. Most of the photography is done with very little interruption or direction. As a result I am able to capture relaxed candid portraits. I don’t pose people. I like to capture the wedding day as it happens, no fuss. That said, I do love to sneak away with the bride and groom, when the light is right, to capture some images of the happy couple together for the first time as husband and wife. Don’t worry, no posing required!

Most of my photography packages include photography for the whole day; from bridal make-up to the first dance and party into the evening. I offer digital, print and album options. Each wedding is different and the package I provide can be tailored to the couples requirements. For the larger wedding, I often use an assistant or second photographer. This gives me the ability to widen my photography coverage and capture all those other bits of a wedding day that I might not see.

My family portrait sessions are very similar in that they are very relaxed with no posing required! Sessions normally last between 60 and 90 minutes and can take place almost anywhere. From a play session in a local park, to a walk on the beach, to a walk on the Quantock Hills with the spectacular views of the Somerset countryside. Sessions can also take place in a clients home should they request it. Anywhere they feel comfortable. The more comfortable they are, they more relaxed they will be. The more relaxed they are, the better the photographs will be.

Although I will ask family groups or couples to get together to pose for a photo I won’t make a fuss about how each person is standing/sitting. I just want them to be natural and relaxed and to be together just like any other family / couple would be. The more relaxed I can make them the easier it is to produce some beautiful portraits that they will cherish forever.

As a family man I know just how fast families grow and how important it is to create mementos of your loved ones lives to look back at for years to come. Being able to capture and share those memories with family and friends is so important. I love to document birthday parties, anniversaries, family holidays and so on to provide you with beautiful images to remind you of just how much fun you have had!
