As a professional workaholic; this all started as a personal hobby that gave me an outlet to focus on outside of work.

In a senior role, leading professional teams across multiple states and a large number of direct reports, I could sense I needed something that would allow me to focus on my own mental health, a pursuit that would interest me and keep me wanting to go back to it. The joy and escapa this hobby gave me, especially heightened through lockdowns and changing legislative landscape was a game changer.

Having focused and prioritised others mental well-being, I hadn’t realised how much I’d neglected my own.

Experimenting, learning, exploring and simply allowing myself the time to develop,’resulted in something we’re proud of and wanted to share with others and hope that through our story, we inspire others to take a moment for themselves and that they’re able to create lasting memories that they continue to associate with Kingsley Maximus.

From the beginning of this journey there has been consideration and emphasis on a number of areas,, ensuring that the products we created for our home and now to be shared with others, had consideration to the environmental and social factors at every aspect of our business. This has meant that every step of our production, sourcing of components, our suppliers and their supply chains, how we conduct our daily business, marketing, our packaging, branding and shipping need to meet key criteria set out in our social awareness policy.

We launched in August 2023, with our candle range. A 100% soy wax candle. We wanted to create a sense of luxury and elegance. A vessel that could draw attention to itself. The clear glass, with thin layer sides, allows the light of the candle flame to shine through from the first to the last burn. It’s unique construction and how it differed from so many other candles we had in the past, really drew us to making this the centre of our candle collection. A statement that added to the gorgeous and pungent scents that they’ve been filled with.

We’ve tried to hero the vessel, by a minimal tag, that can be easily removed if you’d prefer a 365 degree clear container that allows the candle light to shine through.
