I help people who are doing many of the “right” things such as staying active and prioritising their health, but are still struggling with symptoms. These can include fatigue, gut symptoms, mood fluctuations, brain fog, or frustratingly slow progress with body composition goals. I work with clients to uncover the real reasons their body isn’t responding the way they expect, and then create a personalised plan that is simple to follow and fits into real life.
I specialise in two key areas:
– Cognitive health and dementia prevention for adults
– Performance and metabolic support for active individuals and recreational athletes
Across both areas, my work is based on the principles of functional medicine, an approach that looks for root causes rather than applying generic fixes. Nutrition isn’t just about macros and meal plans. It’s about understanding your physiology, your goals, your current reality, and then building a plan that’s realistic, evidence-based, and personalised to you.
What Makes My Work Different
Most people who come to me are already motivated. They’re not looking for someone to wag a finger, they want clarity. They want to understand what their body needs, what’s missing, and how to make choices that feel good, not restrictive.
Here’s what sets my work apart:
– Personalised support based on real science. No fads. No food fear. Everything I recommend is grounded in evidence and adapted to your physiology, symptoms, and lifestyle.
– Two clear paths, one integrated philosophy. I support both cognitively-minded clients who want to stay sharp into old age, and physically-active clients who want to feel stronger, train better, and recover faster, with lots of crossover between the two.
– Functional testing (when needed). I use tests that dig deeper than the basics, from gut health to nutrient status, hormones, and inflammation markers. I then translate them into clear, practical actions.
– A calm, non-judgemental space. Clients often tell me they feel safe opening up here, and that they’ve finally found someone who listens, explains clearly, and goes at their pace.
– Results that go beyond the obvious. Clients report not just changes in weight, digestion, or energy, but feeling like themselves again – mentally present, capable, motivated and less anxious about the future.
Services
I work 1:1 with clients through structured consultation packages, designed for either short-term clarity or longer-term transformation. I also offer:
– The Performance Plate Audit – a one-off nutrition review with a detailed, personalised strategy (ideal for active individuals).
– Educational blog content and a free email newsletter for those who want to stay informed and supported on their own terms.
– I see clients online and in person (in North Kent), and collaborate with other professionals where appropriate, including GPs, consultants, therapists and personal trainers.
A Little About Me
I didn’t start out in this field. For a long time, I thought feeling exhausted and foggy was just “how life is.” I grew up in the 80s and 90s, an era of unlimited sugar, low-fat everything, and not a mention of protein unless you were a bodybuilder. In my 20s and 30s, I was constantly run-down and caught every bug going around. Although my GP tests were always “fine,” I didn’t feel it.
That changed when my eldest son was diagnosed with autism. I dove headfirst into learning everything I could to support him, and quickly saw how nutrition could shape not only his health, but mine too. I went from fast food and crash diets to rebuilding my immune system, fixing my gut, and discovering that I actually enjoyed exercise.
I’m now a registered nutritional therapist with a Diploma from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, meeting clients where ever they may be in the health journey, and helping them take control of their health without overwhelm.
If you care about your health, but don’t want to waste time on conflicting advice or quick fixes, I’d love to help you find the plan that’s right for you.
