Life On the Shore
Our founder, Michael Valentino, opened the first Island Pursuit in 1983 as a complement to his ski-focused store, Northern Pursuit. Establishing the first Island Pursuit on Martha’s Vineyard, Michael sought his dream of an endless summer, eventually leading him to iconic locations along the coast in Florida, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
