Intiomale and Company is a family business incorporated in 1985 by the INTIOMALE Family Patriarch and Mbei (Ruler) of Mukuni, Prof. Patrice Intiomale
Since the early-1800s, the family first generation of farmers worked coffee, tea, and rubber tree farms in the Democratic Republic of Congo until the Belgian colonization settlement in the Royal Domaine, which turned their activities into subsistence farming.
In the 1950s, the family carried on farming, leading to several decades of successful trade in the Central African region until the 1980s, when it launched its first hospitality business and commercial farms, running restaurants and investing in parks in the largest cities of the Grand Katanga, the Kinshasa and Bandundu Provinces, which became a great success until the 1991 civil war.
During the mid-1990s, the family focused on trade, logistics, and retail. In the early 2000s, when the mining boom started, it launched a mining and exploration technical firm, and a research and development projects in agricultural technology with local universities, which expanded into real estate management.
From 2006, the business expanded in Southern Africa into trade and logistics, security, and management consulting and in 2008, invested in the Great China Experience with South African and Chinese trading partners to become a leading services provider with a vast portfolio of Chinese suppliers and clients across Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.
In 2013, the family business was re-organized and incorporated in South Africa, led by its Managing Partner and CEO, Mr Sean Intiomale, Deputy Ruler of Mukuni, who launched his corporate career in business development and investment in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa since 2006 and advised some of the largest agencies with 70 offices globally.
Sean Intiomale led the Family Business into the third generation and expanded its operations to the Middle East and set the stage for its new strategic plan through expansions and diversification, collaborating with BRICS-leading companies in the Eurasia and Africa market, financial companies in private equity and investment banking, and some of the largest export and logistics firms in Asia and Africa. This enabled management of over €500 million AUM and joint projects with US and European investment funds in excess of €35 billion over the next decade.
