After a career in retail and media I decided to do something completely different and create a self storage business. It’s been an exciting journey and I’ve learnt a lot along the way from both the industry and most importantly, my customers.

I like secure storage rooms, so our storage rooms are fitted with two separate alarm systems and have solid ceilings. Other facilities have mesh ceilings that allow customers to look into other storage rooms.

Ceiling heights were very low in other facilities. I believe customers get more value from rooms with high ceilings, so ours are 2.9m high. This allows customer to have the choice of choosing smaller sized and paying less for their storage.

Opening times 9am – 5pm? I thought this was crazy. I think it’s important for my customers to be able to visit their belongings whenever they choose. That is why we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year.

Padlock keys can get lost and pin codes can be forgotten. So that is why we have an app for your phone that allows you to get into the facility and open the door to your storage room. You can also share access with other people to your storage room. So if you have removal people, or if you’re abroad and need something dropped off in your room, you don’t need to be there.

Flexible storage options: if you choose a room size and need to switch up or down you can do that on the day. Equally, we don’t ask for an upfront deposit, you pay on the date of your move in. You can change your move-in date as many times as you like or even cancel, before the move-in date occurs and not have to pay a single penny.

Being cost-effective for my customer is important. I constantly monitor the market price of our storage rooms to ensure they are competitively priced. We also offer short and long term price promotions for our internal self storage facility. This makes our self storage facility the most cost-effective solution for individuals and businesses that need temporary or long-term storage options. You only pay for the space you need, and the fees are usually lower than other storage options.

All our rooms are the ground floor, there are no steps or stair to deal with and with a total of 46 rooms you will not have to walk long distances to find your storage room.

I Want Storage – Bedford Container Storage. Since starting the self storage facility in Bedford we have branched out into container storage in Bedford. This offers customers the benefit on driving right up to their storage unit, which is placed in a secure area with a secure gate entry and CCTV.
