Hoppter offers the residents of Amsterdam to plan scheduled bread delivery to their doorknobs directly from a local bakery every morning. There are no middlemen, or intermediate storage. Bread goes to the consumers directly from a bakery.
Hoppter develops a technology which allows its clients to order bread online, or through an app, and follow their orders conveniently at any time and place.
This business model allows to plan production in advance, and bake only as much bread as needed, which makes it possible to fight food waste on every stage of production, distribution, and consumption. Clients can only order bread quantity that is needed for one day (starting from ordering half a bread per day), and have another bread coming the next day. Planning deliveries helps in having fresh bread every day, so that it doesn’t get stale and thrown in the bin.
Hoppter brings change to every step of bread production, ordering, and delivery, paying particular attention to sustainability, accessibility, and reducing any type of waste and pollution.
Our diverse cross-functional team digs into every stage and aspect of the bread business to find possibilities for technological improvement and optimization. Hoppter innovates the language too: we deliver weekly breadplans to our clients through daily breadrounds.
