That means that everything I do is evidence-based and backed by research. Whether we work together, or you choose a different path, always remember that your body is not something to gamble with.

With over ten years as a marketing specialist in Perth, I’ve adopted a strong amount of pragmatism. My approach as a Nutritionist is very simple, structured, and considered. Every choice I make, whether it’s dietary advice, a functional test, or a prescribed supplement, is based on my clinical experience and the best available research. With the right knowledge, I then develop an individual treatment plan that you can live by, knowing that you’re making significant change to your health.

As a society, we now know that what we eat affects our health. So why can’t we make these changes? I believe the current set-up lacks support for those people trying to change their diet. That’s where a clinical Nutritionist comes in.

It’s not my job to stick you on an everything-free diet and send you on your way. Instead, I help adapt your current diet in order to meet your health goals. We make small incremental changes together to get to your desired goals. A clinical Nutritionist assists with disease prevention and management using only scientific evidence. Nutrient adequacy, food quality, dietary behaviours, and lifestyle all come into focus.

I work with:
Women’s health & hormonal issues
Children’s nutrition & fussy eaters
Weight loss & weight maintenance
Chronic, unresolved gut issues
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) & Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
Sports nutrition & optimising performance

A clinical nutritionist is formally recognised as health professionals through Australian Therapeutic Goods Act and hold private health insurance rebates with insurance funds. That’s the vital part; a recognition that anyone who is providing health advice has the right knowledge and is making decisions based on research and evidence.

A qualified clinical Nutritionist is an allied health professional. We see a physiotherapist for a sore hip, a chiropractor for a sore back, or an optometrist to check the state of our sight, but it’s not always common to see a nutritionist for diet plans or help with digestive concerns. But it doesn’t stop there, clinical nutritionists assist with disease prevention and management using nothing but scientific evidence.

A clinical Nutritionist in Perth must:
Be Qualified: This means a tertiary degree (minimum of three years) and 300+ hours of clinical training.
Be Registered: To be eligible for health fund rebates, we must be registered with a national industry association. This is all about accountability.
Be Evidence-Based: Our knowledge is applied in conjunction with the best available and most recent scientific evidence. Your health is not a gamble.
