Grief 2 Growth

His mission is to help people rediscover who they are and why they are here. Brian believes the secrets to surviving this life and thriving lie in those two questions.

Brian says if you’re feeling “stuck,” it’s most likely because you have forgotten the answer to one or both of these questions.

Brian’s vision is to create a world where everyone has a sense of purpose and fulfillment. If we know why something is happening and give it meaning, we can endure just about anything. Brian wants to remind everyone of their true nature and reason for being.

Brian is the host of the Grief 2 Growth podcast and the author of Grief 2 Growth, Planted. Not Buried. He is the creator of the Grief 2 Growth YouTube channel. Brian regularly appears on podcasts and speaks at events and conferences like the International Association For Near-Death Studies, Helping Parents Heal, and the Conference on Death, Grief, and Belief.

Brian is on the Board of Helping Parents Heal and the SoulPhone Foundation. He has worked with hundreds of parents and others in his work.

In addition to coaching, Briancreates content, most of which is shared freely through his blog, podcast, YouTube channel, and newsletter. Ensure you’re subscribed to the newsletter to keep up with all the latest happenings.

Brian became well acquainted with grief in 2015 after the sudden passing of his fifteen-year-old daughter Shayna. After Shayna’s passing, Brian felt his life was over. I had to learn to survive for his wife, Tywana, and daughter, Kayla. Brian studies the nature of life and death and how to progress through grief from a job loss, divorce, illness, or the death of a loved one. Brian speaks from experience of all of the above.

Brian provides a safe space where you can safely share what you are experiencing. He shares techniques discovered and developed after his devastating loss. Perhaps most importantly, Brian can help you understand that death is not goodbye and that your relationship with your loved one can continue. Any ending is a new beginning. His understanding is not a religious-based belief but a position based on reason and evidence.

Shortly after Shayna transitioned, Brian discovered Helping Parents Heal, a non-profit peer-to-peer support group for parents of children who have passed. He volunteers with Helping Parents Heal and is on the Board of Directors. Brian has worked with hundreds of parents who have lost children. Brian is also a volunteer and Vice President of the SoulPhone Foundation.

Brian’s expertise comes primarily from life experiences, even though he has trained extensively in life coaching, grief education, and mental fitness training. He has taught death and grief with other experts and at the San Francisco Theological Seminary. He is certified by David Kessler as a Grief Educator. Brian is a naturally curious person who has spent thousands of hours studying the nature of humans, life, death, why we are here, and where we are going.

I am a public speaker and frequent podcast guest.
