We offer the natural features couples are seeking: large bodies of privately-owned clear water, an old-growth forest backdrop and Cascade mountain views. Additionally, the manicured gardens and intentionally-planned built environment make for weddings that have great flow, guests that feel pampered and have fun; and a wedding day that is unrivalled. Beyond a gorgeous setting, Gray Bridge is unique for its layout and how that creates an engaged guest experience. The space is very intentionally designed to guide your guests through a series of spaces and activities to keep them engaged, enjoying themselves, and feeling that your wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended. Aside from the cocktail area, no space is used more than once throughout your event. You have a ceremony area with an amphitheater overlooking the east pond; a reception tent with chandeliers and drapes creating a romantic space for dinner, speeches and cake cutting; guests then move to dancing under the stars on our dance floor with a transparent cover so you can see the sky regardless of the weather. The three acres of venue space functions as your own private park for you and your guests to enjoy. Your day is staffed with our venue coordinators who act a support to your vendors ensuring their needs are met; as concierge to your guests; and serve the venue keeping spaces clean and serviced with support of your vendors throughout the event.
Our service starts before you even book Gray Bridge. We strive for transparency and accessibility. Gray Bridge provides as much information as we can up front so that there are no planning surprises. We make ourselves available to answer questions, provide direction when desired, brainstorm planning ideas, and provide guidance on vendors. The pricing model is very unique in the local market in that we charge one flat rate without additions or upcharges. All of our couples receive all of our services and amenities and are never given a bill at the end of the night if something is forgotten or needed. While not wedding planners, we work hard to make planning a wedding easier. We recognize that most couples have never planned a party for 100 plus guests or a wedding before and we strive to be available as much as we are needed to make the process easier. Included with your venue rental is access to our décor closet of over 3000 pieces of trending and useful décor to host your wedding. All pieces are shown on our website and you are given a online “shopping cart” to select the décor you would like to utilize. Our site furnishings include gorgeous wood farmhouse tables, black vineyard crossback chairs, luxury restrooms, ample seating in all areas, a firepit with s’mores setup, wine barrels and cocktail tables, and an ample selection of additional tables to suite all your vendor’s needs.
Outside vendors are welcome; aside from a required list of bartenders and DJs, we maintain an extensive list of recommended but not required vendors. We also maintain a “naughty list” of vendors that don’t meet our standards. The majority of the space is accessible to people with wheels or walkers; we welcome all couples regardless of gender, orientation, race, or identity. Pets are also welcome as part of the ceremony and for photos.
Gray Bridge serves both local and destination weddings. Located in a tourist community, lodging is ample in the surrounding community with Airbnb’s and a boutique lodge hotelier operating in the area. Local motels and hotels are just 6 miles away. For guests and hosts looking to create a wedding weekend of activities, the surrounding area is renowned for its outdoor recreation opportunities including hiking, river rafting, mountain biking, ATV tours, and skiing in the winter. The venue is less than an hour away from both Seattle and Leavenworth and 1.5 hours from the San Juan Islands ferry landing in Anacortes.
