I have been working in the graphic design and web development fields since 1996. At that time, I began freelancing and was working on websites for Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Tourism New Zealand, and Prime Ministers of New Zealand, Jenny Shipley and Helen Clark. I then co-founded a digital design agency, working on projects for Maybelline NY, Pizza Hut, AMI Insurance, NZ Listener Magazine, Johnson & Johnson, Vodafone, and McCann Worldgroup.
I moved to Taiwan in 2005, continued freelancing while studying Chinese at the National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei City.
In Taiwan, I also created a passion-project in GigGuide.tw, an online platform championing Taiwan’s live music scene. The website promoted concerts big and small, and had regular articles featuring band interviews, gig photo galleries, scene reports, and album reviews. Almost all content was translated into both Chinese and English languages. I put on gigs for New Zealand bands and organised local band showcases and events. Nearly always with a camera in hand, I was often invited by other promoters to take concert photos of touring international bands.
In 2019, I moved back to New Zealand, established the company Front&Back and set up my studio in Ponsonby, Auckland.
