Find My Psychologist is the UK's first online directory website for finding Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered psychologists in private and independent practice across the United Kingdom.

There are now over 150 registered psychologists on our site, offering online and in person specialist assessments, therapy, coaching, consultancy and supervision, in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
The founder, Dr Sara Carr, is a clinical psychologist living in Hampshire working in the NHS and in private practice.
Did you know the title ‘psychologist’ is not protected within the UK?
After Sara qualified as a clinical psychologist, she was surprised to learn that the term ‘psychologist’ is not a protected title in the UK. This means that it is entirely possible for some individuals to practice as “psychologists” without the expected qualifications, but currently legal under the eyes of the law. The majority of the general public are also unsure about how qualified psychologists differ from other professionals, and these issues can make searching for a psychologist both confusing and time consuming.
All of our registered psychologists are HCPC registered. We currently host an online directory of over 150 HCPC registered and regulated practitioner psychologists across the UK. These psychologists:
Have completed years of training up to doctoral level
Offer evidence-based assessments and psychological interventions
Keep up to date with their ongoing training and CPD

The HCPC protects the following titles: clinical psychologist, counselling psychologist, educational psychologist, forensic psychologist, health psychologist, occupational psychologist and sports and exercise psychologist.
Providing a reliable service that meets growing need. There is a growing need for accessing psychological services privately, especially for specialist assessments and psychological therapy. The NHS was already stretched prior to COVID-19, and there are a high number of people who just don’t meet the criteria for the “severe and enduring mental health difficulties” in order to access many of these services. Other people just don’t want the wait times.
