Despite our international scale, the Fig Linens and Home family maintains the personalization and care of a small business. Fig Linens was founded in historic Westport, CT in 2003 by University of Virginia Graduate, Mother, and ambitious designer Carlin van Noppen. Carlin’s vision was for a cozy linen shop with beautiful textiles and products to inspire and bring a touch of luxury to the lives of locals. At the start, the brand carried only a few lines and operated in a location with almost no storage. Despite its humble beginnings, what shone about Fig Linens and Home then is what shines now: we carry the best products and have incomparable customer service.

Over the years, Fig Linens and Home has grown to carry over one hundred luxury linen brands and ship internationally. However, our team still operates out of our brick-and-mortar boutique located at 66 Post Road East in Westport Connecticut. The shop maintains its warm personalized feel and a call to the store is likely to land you on the phone with Carlin. The Fig Linens and Home team still writes handwritten thank-you notes and helps our clients carry shopping bags to their cars. Fig Linens and Home is consistently awarded a Best of the Gold Coast Award for excellence in linens year after year. This commitment to excellence is evident in everything that we do.

Our identity as a small, woman-owned business is central to the Fig Linens and Home brand. We are highly dedicated to the community as a Westport Downtown Merchants Association member and have made frequent appearances in Connecticut Cottages and Gardens. Women’s empowerment has always been important to Carlin as a female business owner and mother of two girls. To this end, Fig Linens and Home holds an annual drive for the Mercy Learning Center, a local non-profit organization that provides basic literacy skills to low-income women.
