Fernerblick Apartments

A year later their dream came true, and they opened their small guesthouse Fernerblick. Since then, they have been taking care of their guests from all over the world. After dedicating almost 4 decades of their time and passion to the home, they stepped down in 2017 and have been enjoying retirement ever since. I will continue my parents’ dream and try to offer guests the ideal holiday accommodation in Hintertux and keep up the hospitality. Together with my husband we now run our “Fernerblick Apartments” with 6 apartments for 2 to 5 people. Since taking over the house, we have continuously improved the quality for our guests. We love to offer our guests the comfort and freedom of their own holiday apartment in the immediate vicinity of the Hintertux Glacier year-round ski area. The breath-taking view of nature and the surrounding mountains together with the in-house SPA area has been highly appreciated by our guests for decades.
All our holiday apartments offer a fully equipped kitchen with all necessary kitchen utensils, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, electric stove, coffee maker and kettle. In addition, all apartments have a cosy dining area, a bathroom with shower, television with international cable programs and free high-speed Internet.
Above the roofs of Hintertux at 1,525 m above sea level, active vacationers, nature lovers and connoisseurs will find the ideal starting point for their vacation. In winter, the Tux-Finkenberg holiday region, in which we are located, offers a lot of nature right on our doorstep. In addition to skiing on the glacier or in the nearby ski areas, you can also enjoy the beauty of the winter landscape off the slopes with cross-country skiing, tobogganing or winter hiking.
But the summer season also offers a lot of variety in the green Tux Valley right on our doorstep. There are 350 km of hiking trails and 150 km of mountain bike trails among cows and across picturesque alpine pastures amidst the region’s iconic peaks.
We have always been aware of our responsibility for the environment and nature comes first in all our activities. The climate balance of tourism needs improvement, and we would like to make a contribution through our operations. For example, we have been using wood pellets for heating for 15 years and thus the local raw material wood, which can be obtained directly from the region due to very short transport routes. In addition, a thermal solar system supports the hot water requirement and the heating. Our PV system generates 30% of our energy itself on site with the rest being obtained from pure renewable energy sources. We also rely on regional products and 100% natural ingredients when procuring drinks for our guests. In addition, for years we have exclusively relied on regional, vegan, and certified natural cosmetics for all soaps and shampoos. Our garden is also constantly being expanded with local plants and, in addition to the breath-taking natural landscape around Hintertux, should also offer our guests an oasis of relaxation.
Sustainable tourism is very important to us, and we never tire of aligning all our activities accordingly to contribute to a more climate friendly tourism industry and preserve the beautiful views from our location toward the Hintertux Glacier. This view has been the subject of many postcards for over 100 years and is also the reason why the name Fernerblick was chosen.
