People ask me all the time why did I decide to go into the jewelry business and it’s actually a good story. In 2005 I was laid off of my job as an Executive Assistant at a boat dealership. An incredibly fun place to work with great people and fun customers until the 4th of July, LOL. Well, when that happened I became stressed because now how do I pay my bills and sustain myself. At the time the solution was not clear but maybe it should of been since I have never liked the idea of working for someone and I have been fortunate enough to not have to.

So, laid off and no job options I began making soap. Yes, all-natural bath and body products that I made and sold from my home. I was able to talk then show my product right into 7 boutiques and a farmers market. The business was booming, my house smelled amazing and I was happy until a situation in life came up and I now had 4 grandchildren to raise. The oldest at the time was 6 and the youngest was 10 months. Talk about life-changing!

Well now all of my focus had to be on the children and I had to end my soap-making career for a more fulfilling career and I loved it. A few weeks later I received a call from a friend who asked if I could pick her up along with a few friends and drop them off and then pick them up again to take them home safely. Sure, no problem, and my next business was created. I was able to successfully drive 100’s of party goers safely back to their homes and keep them off of the road in a rural area that had no cabs, Uber, or Lyft, only me.

A few years later my husband died from a terrible accident and the grandkids and I decided to move back to my hometown of Atlanta. What a huge step for me because I moved with no job opportunity to look forward to but I knew everything would be fine. With years of experience on drumming up business for my shuttle and soap business and a few adventures in between, I had to come up with a new and viable plan so that I could stay home with my grandkids even more for safety and proper guidance.

In walks, my classmate and she begins talking to me about an opportunity. An opportunity to work from home, create your own hours, and income selling jewelry. I told her there was no way I could sell jewelry and she politely asked why not? You wear it! So I jumped on board and became a jewelry consultant in multi-level marketing business and I LOVED IT!

I hear bad things all the time about MLM companies but they can be a very good thing. I have several friends that are multi-millionaires from selling in their MLM business, ok so I sold for 3 years adding team members, losing team members, but the entire time my focus was on buying and selling, repeat. The entire time I honed my skills. Learned how to create more engaging posts, brand my business, choose quality products that my customer would love to purchase and wear with pride and that I Am The Bomb glow!! I learned how to create my website, SEO, email marketing, and more. I learned so much that one day I slowed down and realized I wanted to run my business without restrictions and consequences of being canceled. So I left MLM and here I am starting another fabulous business.

After years of learning and watching, I have finally opened a business that I am ALL IN. I find joy in making sure my customers speak about their experience with my business with a huge smile, 100% customer satisfaction. I treat everyone with who I come in contact, business and personal with respect and love. I appreciate my customers and will never take them for granted. I have worked for years to get to this place in my life where I can have a successful home business, spend as much time with any of my ten grandchildren, and because of the school closings due to Covid-19 my grandchildren and I have been able to take small getaways to the mountains or the beach when they began to feel stressed.

If it weren’t for all of my wonderful customers I would have probably changed careers again but I love when I see a smile on their face or they send an amazing email or text to me saying thank you, I enjoy shopping for products that are unique, shipped from the United States and when I can I really love finding eco-friendly products. This business has unlimited possibilities and Man! Oh, man, that’s a FANTASTIC feeling. So there is lots more to come and I hope you stay on this adventure with me because I hope to make it a long and enjoyable ride!
