From owning two Thai restaurants in Bangkok while working full-time for the government of Thailand, to catering numerous events and raising three children, she has always balanced her love for food with her other responsibilities. Cooking has been in her blood since her high school days, and even at 84 years old in 2023, she continues to be inspired by food channels and YouTube cooking videos from all over the world. Her dedication and passion for cooking are truly remarkable.

When Mom took early retirement, she further honed her culinary skills by joining a Thai restaurant in Los Angeles as a chef. Over the course of 20 years, she gained invaluable experience working in various restaurants throughout the Los Angeles area. During a visit to Burlington, Ontario in 2004, she noticed the lack of Thai restaurants in town.

Motivated by her desire to bring authentic Thai cuisine to the community, we opened our own Thai restaurant in downtown Burlington in 2005, right across from Spencer Smith Park. Mom was fully involved in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, providing advice and sharing her knowledge to train our kitchen staff in preparing the best Thai dishes. Along the way, she developed quick and easy recipes using our own Thai Curry Pastes, enabling our staff to create authentic curry flavours in no time. As our customers fell in love with the rich and spicy taste of our curry pastes, they started requesting them to enjoy at home.

This marked the birth of our Eastern Blue Curry Paste in four amazing flavours. Now, anyone can make authentic Thai curry within 5-10 minutes using our curry paste. Just add the paste, coconut milk, meat, or vegetables together, and that’s all you need. Our curry pastes are rich, flavourful, and highly concentrated. We recommend starting with 1 teaspoon and gradually adjusting the amount to suit your taste. Our curry pastes are made with all-natural, gluten-free, and nut-free ingredients, ensuring a delicious and safe cooking experience.
