Dexterity Law

We provide a bespoke legal service. We’re committed to the clients we take on and want them to excel.

We aim to get to know our clients and help them achieve their goals in a holistic manner.

We can help clients with their legal needs across commercial law, dispute resolution, finance law, tech law and construction law.

Our lawyers have experience with a wide range of commercial matters including corporate governance advice, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, strategic investments, securities law issues and employment law advice.
We have particular expertise in assisting start-ups in the tech, e-commerce, supply chain / logistics and consumer goods industries.

We recognise the unique challenges the construction industry faces in the 21st century. The rapid pace of regulatory and technological developments creates an increasing number of obstacles in delivering projects. At Dexterity Law, we’re motivated to work with clients to find holistic solutions to their needs. We work on both negotiation, planning and development matters and the resolution of construction disputes.

Our approach to dispute resolution is to first help you identify clear goals for ending your dispute, then work to reach those goals as soon as practicable. We will help you to use alternative methods for resolving disputes before proceeding to court (negotiation, mediation, arbitration and use of any external dispute resolution providers (e.g. telecommunications ombudsman, AFCA etc)).

Obtaining external finance can be a massive help when it comes to managing cash flow and allowing you to scale up. The team at Dexterity Law can assist with the key steps in the process of obtaining finance including:
helping SMEs and start-ups to explore different finance options and finance partners (including during their pre-seed, seed, Series-A and Series-B fundraising rounds); drafting and negotiating finance contracts (including loan agreements, security deeds, guarantees etc); managing your obligations under finance contracts; and advising you on your financing strategy and managing financial risk.

Launching a startup or new business can be hard. So many startups have great ideas, awesome people and the potential to become the next Aussie unicorn. But unfortunately for every success story, there are many more stories of businesses that got stuck with legal trouble. At Dexterity Law we know what legal issues tech startups need to look out for.
