Charlotte (the Founder) noticed there wasn’t much of a market for small hobbyists and businesses in 2016. She found that it was near impossible to grab smaller sheets of vinyl without paying a premium price within the UK. And so took it upon herself to purchase a guillotine and large rolls of Oracle vinyl. Cutting vinyl within the front room of her lounge is where the journey of Crafty Cutter began.

Crafty Cutter was created to give the UK public ease of buying craft vinyl in smaller and more convenient sizes such as A4 sheets or small roll sizes such as a metre length. Charlotte now staff’s her full family consisting of Mother, Father, Brother and two younger Sisters. Crafty Cutter is slowly but surely branching out and shipping throughout Europe. So far we have shipped to over 8 different countries and soon to be more.

We supply two types of craft vinyl – self adhesive and heat transfer vinyl. Giving better insight, self adhesive vinyl is a multipurpose material which is very flexible due to how thin it is. With the vast amount of colours, patterns and finishes available, anybody can now purchase self adhesive vinyl to create eye-catching graphics, signs and designs. The craft vinyl is versatile in a way that you can use it either indoor or outdoor as it is waterproof and can stand up to high temperatures. Self adhesive vinyl can be used for designing big or small designs and cut using cutting machines such as Cricut Maker or Silhouette. Once the design is cut and the access vinyl is weeded away, it can then be applied to most grease free, smooth, flat or curved surfaces such as plastic bottles, metal flasks, acrylic shapes and much more.

From selling just one range of vinyl back in 2016, we now stock over 26 different vinyl ranges in self adhesive. Our ranges include PU plain colours, holographic, glow in the dark, glitter and much much more. Currently, our best selling self adhesive vinyl’s are the High Shine Mirror Chrome, Rainbow Pearls Opal, Glow in the dark, Rainbow Effect Holographic and Holographic Glitter.
Here at Crafty Cutter, we also purchase directly from the original vinyl manufacturers. Satin Metallica (which Teckwrap named ‘Satin Chrome’,) as an example, is a range that we have been supplying since 2018 – way before Teckwrap Craft Vinyl was even a thing in the UK craft market. Such a wide range of colours and finishes allows our customers to choose their products within one place and reduces the need to spend across two or three different platforms.

Heat Transfer Vinyl or HTV is a transferable iron on vinyl used to decorate all sorts of different textiles and soft goods such as clothing, bags and aprons etc. Once cut and weeded, HTV is transferred/printed by using a heat press or iron and pressure. This process is somewhat different to the application of self adhesive vinyl. There are ‘rules’ on how to apply heat transfer vinyl, however it all depends on what garment/textile you’re applying to and which heat transfer vinyl you’re using to decorate. Whilst we share and recommend all of the heat press times and temperatures for each HTV range on our webpage, we are always on hand to offer help where requested. Crafty Cutter now sell 14 different ranges of HTV, some of which include PU plain, Glitter, Holographic, Rainbow Pearls Opals and High Shine Mirror Chrome. All of our ranges are each to their own, however all present a great effect when applied to textiles/garments.

In addition to the above, Crafty Cutter are proud to share we also have a rather large collection of ‘Printed Patterned Vinyl’. We print various patterns and designs onto the vinyl in house using our large vinyl eco ink printers. We are able to print onto self adhesive vinyl in gloss, matt, glitter and our new addition, silver metallic. We also print onto a plain HTV and Pearlshine (fine glitter) HTV. We have over 28 different categories, all of which bring vibrant colours and patterns to our customers. We have leopard prints, camo, prints, kids prints and Christmas prints to name a few. Whilst it is difficult to pick out a favourite, we absolutely love the new addition this year and they are the Autumn prints. Sometimes customers even say our wide range makes it difficult to choose certain prints from when placing a generic order.

In addition to our in house prints, we also offer pre cut designs and cater for custom stickers in self adhesive and HTV. We currently have kids, Christmas, Halloween, Sports and animal prints online. We are also always open to custom requests. Should a ready print file be available to us, we are always happy to print stickers, logos and decals.

Our Crafty Cutter team loves to boast about our products as Charlotte takes pride when sourcing the vinyl. She ensures she carries out extensive testing prior to advertising and even then carries our further testing in house for cut and apply ability. After many months, the products then go live with highly competitive pricing. We have a multibuy discount across a wide range of products, including self adhesive, heat transfer and craft blanks. You only need to purchase as little as five sheets or items for a bulk buy discount to apply. An added benefit to this also applies when different colours are required for purchase. The multibuy scheme enables anyone to choose five or more different colours within the range.

We never limit ourselves to just what people can see online. We are always open to new suggestions and look into options when someone asks for a specific pattern, size of vinyl lengths or widths and even acrylic shapes. We’re always keen to please our customers in the best possible way, and happy to create invoices for products which are not openly available. Whether this be a mini roll or meter roll in the patterned craft section, or even a custom design or pre cut design.

Crafty Cutter supplies many craft blanks which have either been imported or made in house. Due to the amount of craft blanks we offer, we have had to split them up into their own categories. For example, Acrylics, Drinkware, Wood/MDF, Glass and Textiles. The majority of our acrylic blanks are made inhouse using our very own acrylic laser cutter, this allows us to advertise as many different shapes within different sizes and across eight different colour/finishes. We are excited to announce that we will be offering 2 more new colours/finishes shortly.

Our flat acrylic shapes are the most popular out of the craft blank range. We aim to keep current with the times and advertise new shapes suited to the time of year. The acrylic baubles are very popular from July through to December and bought to personalise for small business to sell on, personal use and to give as gifts. We have also found the hanging plaque with stockings to be a hit, in addition to bookmarks and keyrings.

Our drinkware range is forever growing. We supply simple sports bottles for wholesale price to cold cups which have been the most popular to date with over 10 colours to choose from. We also sell flasks and double walled tumblers. These are perfect for your warmer drinks to help you through the colder months of the year, all perfect for personalising with our extensive range of self adhesive vinyl.

Our widest range of craft blanks lays within the textiles category. We offer 16 different products to choose from, all of which vary in size and colour. Our textiles and garments have been carefully picked specifically to cater for the use of personalisation in conjunction with the ease of applying our HTV. Our textile range includes Christmas sacks, kids backpacks, everyday use bags, cosmetic bags and much more.

Whilst we take pride in our products, we also take pride in our website and marketing platforms. We currently market on TikTok, Facebook and Instagram where we can interact with our customers and get them sharing their creations. We enjoy sharing their businesses whilst they help promote our products. The high light of this is seeing what can be transformed from an A4 sheet or roll into a personalised gift or item to sell. There are many creations we have seen that have the wow factor which we wouldn’t have been able to imagine.
