It is a food recipe blog started in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, a time when the world almost stood still. I used the word almost because regardless of how difficult these period was, we still found a work-around through the tough times.

Most of us all over the world were stuck at home with nowhere to go, no jobs, friends and family miles apart, A LOT was happening!

Thank goodness for the INTERNET! It is what kept us sane. Getting news updates from all over the world, being able to check up on family and friends all over the world, still getting a paycheck working from home, entertainment through Netflix and Tiktok, and so much other things that we could imagine.

The internet brought out the creativity in most of us, hence, the birth of the food recipe blog. Who would have thought that a simple chef from Eastern Part of Africa (Kenya), would have been able to create such a beautiful blog? I, to this day, am still proud as to how far i have come with this food recipe blog.

Well enough about me and how I started. Let’s talk about the blog itself and what it has to offer, reasons for you to actually stick around by subscribing to the email newsletter.

Cook Jungle is my little corner of the internet where I share simple, step-by-step, fresh, flavorful, deliciously healthy recipes that have been tried and tested in our day-to-day life.

Having worked in different kitchens around the world, my goal is to guide and inspire you to make lip-smacking food that is appetizing, delectable, and exciting. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an amateur cook or a professional chef cooking in a restaurant, I want you to be so pumped up about these recipes that you can’t KEEP CALM until you actually get to try them out.

Aside from all of that, I have also discovered that food from the motherland “AFRICA” is not really as much considered as cuisine by itself. It has not found its place, YET, in the five star hotels and fine dining restaurants around the world. With that being said , we are really going to try put African food on the map by sharing some of the best dishes across all of Africa, and even attempting fusion with other international cuisines.

Sound fun, Right? Culinary is an art and I want all of us to bring out the inner artists in us. There is no wrong/bad ingredient, you only need to know how to pair and layers the flavors and textures.

I wholeheartedly believe that being in the kitchen cooking should be FUN and recipes, flexible. This food recipe blog is all about celebrating good food, sustainable foods that are as close to their source as possible and, that delight the senses and fully nourish the body.
