Our brand origin story is one of adversity and triumph, starting with our founder, a former graphic designer student who faced a life-altering traumatic brain injury. This unexpected disability led them to rely solely on government assistance, barely making ends meet.
Determined to create a more independent and prosperous future, our founder recognized the need for an alternative income source. First a failed site for adult entertainment they used the domain to rebrand. And so, Cody Trade LLC was born – a platform that allowed them to showcase their original graphic designs and enhanced creations while not loosing the lifeline benefit that keeps them housed.
However, Cody Trade LLC is much more than just a means of supplementing income. It represents a bold and humorous spirit that challenges societal norms and aims to make people laugh. Each design carries the founder’s unique perspective, intending to shock, provoke, and entertain simultaneously.
Although Cody Trade is not a non-profit, it is an LLC owned and operated by CodyTrade LLC – an entity driven by the passion to pave a path of independence and prosperity. We firmly believe that individuals should not be limited to the government’s notion that $1,200 a month is enough to survive. Our founder’s upbringing in a rural area of northern California exposed them to the struggles of expressing their sexuality, love for punk rock, and unconventional outlook on life. Nevertheless, they refused to conform, cherishing their individuality.
