In fact she loved to paint on anything that wasn’t nailed down. She loved to paint custom, personalized wine glasses, cake plates, dog and cat ornaments and so much more. She got into painting on pillows, metal signs for your yard and we can’t forget, painted stools to match your kitchen, porch or outside patio. This started off as a hobby, and a great way to give customized gifts to friends and family. With encouragement from her adult children she decided to build a website. Susan who is retired had great computer skills, but knew nothing about building a website, not to mention how to optimize it for SEO.

This is where the fun began. At this time, Susan was working for a pharmaceutical company so building a website was done in her spare time. She read everything and did extensive research to learn about finding the best platform, one that had the best features and apps to help in the process. The old adage “you can build it but traffic is not going to come” unless you get the word out. Learning how to optimize for search engines, mainly Google is a very complex endeavor. SEO optimization is a whole new ball game and it never ends. You are constantly trying knew things to make the SEO game successful. But Susan developed a new passion working on the back end of the website, designing the layout, and writing html and css code. She developed new strategies to make it better and to keep up with this SEO work that is ever changing. She loves it all, almost as much as painting glassware.
