I love photography and have traveled around the world taking news and scenic photos. I once drove on Route 66 and was captivated by California’s Highway 1. Once, because of the scenery around me, I drove across the border into Mexico before realizing I was in another country. Because of the pandemic, my life has changed. I had to stop in my tracks and start transforming a software company that could still sustain life.

In three years when you can’t go anywhere, I started a new life with a few partners. To be precise, we started a business by closing our doors. We sell what we think are beautiful gifts on the Internet: Mydedor Bobble Head. We registered the Mydedor trademark and spent a year learning and having artists make many samples for us. When we almost ran out of money, we sold our first work through advertising on Facebook. At that time, we only heard about selling on the Internet. When we entered this industry ourselves and made a living from it, we found that it was not happy at all. Our goal is simple: to feed ourselves and our families.

Our original intention was to live. All our knowledge tells us to make the best products. We often reflect on ourselves and sometimes are pessimistic not only because we are often on the verge of desperation but also because all three of us are people of faith. We often work hard to study how to improve sales and profits while constantly saying to ourselves: It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven. This often brings us more pain than no profit.

Everything is new, we are working hard, really hard.

We have experienced three years of ups and downs.

Making custom products, especially custom gifts, is really really difficult, not to mention that custom BOBBLEHEAD also has an attribute of similarity. This standard of similarity cannot be balanced in everyone’s eyes and hearts.

In these three years, we spent all our savings. When sales just started to improve, we always encountered difficulties that we could not bear: frozen advertising accounts and long appeals; virus infections among artists; work interruptions due to pandemics; borrowing money everywhere. Someone asked me: Why not stop? I also asked myself why not stop? If you stop, you will face a new life and do more unknown things. The future is not bright anymore. The problem we need to face is how to survive. “Survival or destruction is a question worth thinking about.”

With the easing of the pandemic, life began to turn around. Advertising began to improve, income became more abundant, and we began to be happy like children again. We feel that hope has returned to us.

In fact, it is still so difficult, but our hearts have become stronger than before and more optimistic than before.

We know more about products now; we do better; we understand customers more; we no longer complain about their strictness towards products; we no longer pay attention to malicious reports and complaints from competitors; we begin to look forward more; we begin to learn how to focus on Mydedor’s brand; maybe we are still very difficult but aren’t we better than before? Life is always full of hope. Those difficulties are the hardships that life must experience. Am I right?

These three years have made me reacquainted with one word: Believe! This is the source of power. Because we believe that we will become better, we really start to become better!
