David Brice is co-owner at CakeFlix and he has a wealth of business expertise and has coached a number of successful businesses.

David manages the website, marketing, content management and crucially the ‘Pro’ business area of the website. He hosts an Annual Business Boot Camp, which is a must for anyone looking to set up or grow a cake business.

Together they form a formidable team with over 20 years’ experience each in the cake industry.

Paul first learned to bake with his gran from a very young age and even at that early age had ambition to own his own cake shop, which was laughed at by his classmates. However, Paul persevered with his dream, went to collage where he achieved an HNC in Baking. He completed a bakery apprenticeship at Oliphant Bakers in Linlithgow, before moving to Top Tier Designer Cakes in Glasgow. After just a year there Paul took on his first cake shop back in Linlithgow at the age of just 23 years old.

David then came on board to help with the business and within 5 years they had cake 7 outlets, including concessions at the famous Jenners Edinburgh store. They had 35 staff and were producing hundreds of cakes a week.
However, Paul’s love and passion was in teaching and in 2010, David persuaded Paul to start filming online tutorials. In 2011 they launched the first dedicated online tutorial subscription platform. Everything had to be designed as there were no off-the-shelf packages available as there are these days.
They developed and grew the website to the size that it is today with over 8TB of video footage to scroll through.

They offer Premium and Pro memberships and have the most amazing award winning supportive community of cake artists.
