How it all started (by Mateya Lotric):
“Like other mums, when our daughter was ready for solids, I bought her first tableware. I soon learned that the products lacked functionality and practicality.
It’s not enough for a product to look cute; it must also function well. Being an industrial designer, I knew there was a better way, so I decided to do something about it.”

Product development
Brightberry products are designed in-house by Mateya & Uros, both multi-award-winning industrial designers and parents. As such, we develop products based on principles of ergonomics, engineering, creativity, materials used, usability and functionality towards family use.
“When it comes to the design of kids’ tableware, we believe the products should be simple to use (for both parents and kids) and encourage independent eating. We strive to innovate with these principles in mind.”
All our products go over several steps of the production process to ensure product quality and desired functionality.

Our tableware material of choice is silicone, which is unbreakable, and won’t peel, dry out or become brittle. With proper care, silicone can last a lifetime, maintaining its quality and reducing environmental landfill impact and additional repurchase expenses.
The silicone we use does not contain harmful chemicals, is completely BPA-free, and includes no BPS, PVC, lead, or phthalates.
As a result, our tableware is entirely microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. It can be heated and frozen without concern, as there is no risk of dangerous chemicals leaching. As a result, it is safer than its plastic counterparts.

To ensure the safety of our tableware, all of our products have undergone independent testing by one of the world’s premier safety-testing facilities, TÜV laboratories.
This guarantees that the products we sell meet both Australian and international regulators’ high safety standards (chemically and mechanically).
On top of the above, all the silicone we use to create our baby products is moulded from a single piece of material. As a result, there aren’t any joins, cracks, or other difficult-to-reach areas where food debris may collect and grow bacteria and mould.

Product packaging
Environmental sustainability is fundamental to us, and long-lasting silicone feeding sets are a win-win for
everyone. This drive for sustainability also extends to our packaging, which is why we use recyclable materials and reduce waste whenever possible.
Our packaging is eco-friendly and 100% recyclable. We use a combination of cardboard (without plastic lamination) and PET.
Beautiful packaging with lifestyle photography is perfect for retail display and gifting.
Products are fully enclosed to protect them from environmental impacts, with a PET window to eliminate the need for a customer to open the box.
