Borough Broth Company creates award-winning, slow-cooked and perfectly seasoned bone broths with the finest, whole organic ingredients in the UK. Whether you call them a broth, a stock, or a fancy soup, they’re not fussed – as long as it tastes delicious!

Bone broth has been used for thousands of years as a nutritious elixir thought to soothe the body and support gut health. A great source of protein and natural collagen, these beautiful broths are slow-cooked in small batches for 24 hours in their London kitchen to bring you the comforting taste of homemade, while never compromising on consciously sourced organic ingredients. Perfect for drinking on its own or adding to recipes as an umami-filled stock.

Borough Broth Company was created in 2015 by founding broth lady, Ros, upon discovering the benefits of bringing bone broth into her lifestyle, set out to buy a tasty pre-made broth so there wasn’t always the need to have bones boiling away in the kitchen. After finding that quality, small-batch bone broths made with delicious, organic ingredients (but without additives and preservatives) simply didn’t exist, Ros set out to make her own.

After experimenting in her kitchen and selling locally, Ros caught the eye of Selfridges Food Hall in London, and the brand was born. The recipe was a hit and, although we have since added a whole selection to our range, our original Organic Chicken Bone Broth recipe has never changed (and it’s still free-range, organic and additive-free!)

From ingredients to packaging and everything in between, we put sustainability at the heart of our business and, in 2021, we even became a certified B-corporation. We’re proud to be part of the fantastic B-Corp community that use business as a force for good. That means something different to everyone, but for us, it’s creating excellent quality, nourishing food, supporting organic farmers, paying the London Living Wage and championing organic eating.

Ingredients:
We use only whole ingredients (never extracts or powders) and source our organic bones from Soil Association Organic farms across the UK.

Packaging:
It may be squishy, brightly coloured and beautiful (if we do say so ourselves) but we take our packaging very seriously indeed. We tested materials, heavily researched life cycles and pushed for innovation in the packaging industry to create a recyclable pouch that we can proudly pour our broth into.

Our Waste
As a food producer, we’re incredibly proud of the fact that we produce almost no food waste! We achieve this by working to a closed-loop system, which means that any food waste that we do produce is composted or is used as bio-fuel.

Whether sipped from a mug, slurped from a bowl of noodles or splashed into your favourite recipes as a stock, you’ll be amazed how much a proper traditional broth can add flavour to your home-cooked meals. This is slow food, fast.
